Establishment
The Chemical Technology Program was established as the Paint Technology Program in the 1998/1999 academic year within our School, and since the 2008 academic year, it has changed its name to the name of Chemical Technology. It has a two-year training period. It has a numerical education program that includes courses on Chemistry and chemical processes for four semesters. There are three laboratories within the program that our students can use. Academic activities are carried out in our department with 6 faculty members.
Degree Awarded
Chemical Technology Technician Degree, Associate Degree Diploma
Program Profile
The main purpose of the program is to train chemistry technicians who can work as intermediate staff needed by the chemistry and chemical sub-industry, laboratory staff who will work in the biochemistry laboratories of hospitals, and quality technicians who can work in the food sector. Due to the possibility of graduates to work in many different branches of chemistry, diversity is also sought in the curriculum. In addition to these, this program aims to provide students with both the basic principles of chemistry and the ability to operate and control special devices containing technology. Students are placed in this associate degree program according to the central placement principles made by OSYM with their TYT score.
Employment Profiles of Graduates
Graduates receive the title of "Technician". Students who will graduate from this program can find the opportunity to work as technical staff in the industry's business, quality control and chemistry laboratories, chemical marketing and sales departments, health and research and experiment centers.
