Establishment
Textile Program, which was opened in Kayseri Vocational School in 1992, continued its education in Kocasinan Vocational School from 1998-1999 academic year until 2006. The department continues its education at the Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu Vocational School, which was built on the Erciyes University Central Campus by the philanthropic businessman Mustafa ÇIKRIKÇIOĞLU in the spring semester of 2006-2007.

Program Profile
This program, which aims to train the qualified intermediate power needed by the textile industry, is divided into two groups as Textile Quality Control and Textile Finishing since the second year, and students are provided with specialization in a field besides general textile information. In addition to the theoretical information taught to our students, practical lessons are taught in the Textile Physics Laboratory and Textile Finishing Laboratory supported by the World Bank, so that our students can easily adapt to the business environment. In addition to theoretical knowledge, our students also have the opportunity to put the knowledge they have learned at school into practice in the business environment. Textile Program students do their lessons and internships in companies operating in different fields in the textile sector. Our program accepts students according to the TYT score type obtained from the Higher Education Transition Exam conducted by OSYM.
Employment Profiles of Graduates
Graduate students have the opportunity to work in different units and levels of all textile enterprises in order to close the qualified personnel gap needed by the sector in Turkey, especially in Kayseri. Graduate students are given the title of “Textile Technician” with an associate degree diploma.
Transition to Senior Programs
Textile Technology Program students can transfer to the Textile Technology Programs in Vocational Schools within the body of other universities. Students graduating from the Textile Program can transfer vertically to Textile Engineering departments of Engineering Faculties, Textile Teaching departments of Technical Education Faculties, Clothing Industry and Clothing Arts Education and Clothing Industry and Fashion Design departments of Vocational Education Faculties, and Textile Design departments of Fine Arts Faculties.
