Kayseri University (KAYÜ) Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu Vocational School, Design Department, Graphic Design Program continues to bring students together with industry experts within the framework of university-industry collaboration.

A special talk was held with the participation of Illustration Artist and Academic Yaşar VURDEM as part of the "Career Planning" course, which is included in the Graphic Design Program curriculum and conducted by Lecturer Ömür Mert.

The event focused on the professional dynamics of illustration art and its reflections within the private sector. During the event, which was organized to contribute to the career paths of students after graduation, Yaşar Vurdem analyzed the "Concept of Illustration" through both theoretical and practical dimensions. In his speech, Vurdem highlighted the following key points: The position and significance of illustration within the graphic design discipline, Professional competencies expected from a designer in the private sector, The process of integrating academic education into professional work life, The necessity of developing a unique design language under current market conditions. In this productive meeting, where topics ranging from the world of illustration to the dynamics of the private sector were discussed, our students had their questions answered while VURDEM shared his professional experiences.
