"Hand Weavings and Collecting" Interview
The talk titled “Hand Weavings and Collecting” organized by Kayseri University Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu Vocational School Handicrafts Department in order to raise awareness about the promotion and protection of hand weavings, which are an important part of our traditional cultural heritage, will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 14.00 at Kayseri University Rectorate Conference Hall.
The moderator and speaker of the event will be the Head of the Traditional Handicrafts Program of the Department of Handicrafts, Lecturer. Assist. Prof. Dr. Zahide ŞAHİN; Researcher and collector Mustafa HASKARAMAN, who has an important collection in the field of hand weavings, will also participate in the conversation as a speaker.
In the talk, comprehensive information on the rich weaving culture of Anatolia, traditional techniques, the place of weaving samples in the historical process and the collection value of these works will be shared; In addition, the practice of collecting and conservation and dissemination studies in this field will be discussed.
