Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu Vocational School Handicrafts Program hosted the representatives of Kayseri Maturation Institute R&D unit. Along with Mehtap ŞAVRAN and Özlem SÖMEZ from the R&D team of the Institute, Serap DEMİRBİLEK and Hülya YANIK, graduates of the Handicrafts Program and currently working as master students at the Maturation Institute, paid a courtesy visit to our department.

During the visit, discussions were held on information sharing and cooperation opportunities within the scope of the “Turkey Weaving Atlas Project”, which is carried out under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and aims to protect the traditional weaving culture and transfer it to future generations. In addition, experiences were shared regarding the professional development of our graduate students and various ideas were exchanged to increase sector-university collaborations. 

The visit constitutes an important step in terms of academic contribution to the projects carried out in the field of traditional handicrafts and strengthening alumni relations. We would like to thank the Kayseri Maturation Institute R&D team and our valuable graduates for their kind visit and wish them success in their work.
